Provisioning with Thinktel

Cisco/Linksys Hardware

  1. Thinktel supports the following Cisco/Linksys VoIP models: SPA504G, SPA508G, SPA525G, PAP2, PAP2-NA, PAP2T-NA, RT31P2-NA, RTP300, SPA-1001, SPA-2002, SPA-2100, SPA-2102, SPA-3000, SPA8000, SPA-3102, SPA-901, SPA-921, SPA-922, SPA-941, SPA-942, SPA-962, WIP310, WRT54GP2-NA, and WRTP54G
  2. Login to the web interface of your Cisco/Linksys device with 'admin' rights and in 'advanced' view
  3. Click on the Provisioning Tab (under Voice section for some models)
  4. Ensure 'Provision Enable' is set to yes
  5. Set 'Resync Periodic' to 5 and 'Random Resync Delay' to 0
  6. Set 'Profile Rule' to: http://provision.thinktel.ca/init.cfg
  7. Click on 'Submit All Changes'
  8. Your Cisco/Linksys device will reboot up to four times with firmware potentially being upgraded if out of date
  9. It can take up to 10 minutes for your device to populate in our provisioning servers
  10. Please quote your device MAC address or serial number when placing orders for VoIP service on your Cisco/Linksys hardware


Polycom Hardware

Please request the steps for this from your sales rep.


Snom Hardware

Quote your device MAC address when placing orders for VoIP service with your Snom device.  An order technician will instruct you to factory reset your device once provisioned with our service, no additional steps are necessary.
